What is Complimentary Medicines ? Complimentary Medicine is treatment that are used along with standard medical treatment .

Example :- Acupuncture to help lessen some side effects of the cancer treatment
What is alternative Medicines .

Alternative Medicine is treatment that are used instead of standard medical treatments independently as a full-fledged treatment system for each and every type of sufferings in the human beings .

INTEGRATIVE MEDICINES:- Integrative Medicine is a total approach to medical care that combines standard medicine with the CAM practices that have been shown to be safe and effective . They treat the patients’ mind , body and spirit .

Example of Complimentary Medicines :- Alternative Health approaches such as traditional India medicines, Traditional Chines Medicines, Naturopathy , Electro homoeopathy , Acupuncture, Acupressure, Massage Therapy, Ayurvedic Panchakarma, Therapy , Magneto Therapy , Yoga etc. …..

TYPES OF COMPLEMENTARY AND ALTERNATIVE MEDICINES:- Many different areas make up the practice of Complementary and alternative medicines (CAM) . In addition , Many parts of one field may overlap with the parts of another fields .

Example :- Acupuncture is used in conventional medicines . In united states (AM) is used by about 38% of Adults and 12% of children .

1: Traditional Alternative Medicines :- This field includes the more mainstream and accepted forms of therapy such as acupuncture . Homoeopathy & oriental practice. These therapies have been practiced for centuries worldwide.

2. Body Therapy or Healing by Touch :- Body touch has been used in medicine Since the early days of medical care .
